STEP-BY-STEP ELABORATION Halloween Cake

Biscuit Preparation

1. We prepare and weigh our ingredients.

2.Cook and drain the pumpkin, when it loses the water, form a puree. We can cook it in the oven or in the microwave.

3.On this occasion I have steamed it so I have prevented it from taking on water.

4.Preheat oven heat up and down to 180 degrees.

5.In a bowl add the liquid butter together with the sugar and beat until it changes color and is lighter in color. We can heat the butter in the microwave so that it melts faster.

6.This is the lighter colored aspect that should remain when integrating the butter with the sugar.

7.Add the eggs one by one to the mixture and integrate and beat.

8.Mix the flour with the yeast and the tablespoon of cinnamon and add this sifted mixture little by little to the previous bowl.

9.Beat manually and continue sifting, we do it several times.

10.I have added it three times integrating well so there is no lump left.

11.Add the pumpkin puree to the previous mixture and mix well.

12.Beat well to integrate the pumpkin with the mixture.

13.Beat also with an electric mixer, it is optional but it saves us time and it is better.

14.Prepare a mold greased with butter I will use a 22 cm round mold, at its base it has baking paper or parchment paper.

15.We will pour the dough into the greased mold, give it a few blows so that it is distributed well and we can bake it.

16.The time is variable in my oven it takes 30 minutes the best thing is to use a skewer to stick in the center and if it comes out clean the cake is cooked.

17.Let it cool to be able to remove it from the mold more easily.

18.Now we repeat all the steps to make the second cake. We will need two to have one on top of the other. Once we have them, we will reserve them while we take the opportunity to make the syrup. We could make a bigger cake taller and open it in half, but I prefer to do it in two different ones because this cake is difficult to handle and it breaks if it is too high.

Syrup preparation

19.We put a saucepan on the fire, add the water and the sugar when it thickens a little we add rum or muscatel(sweet wine)

20.With the biscuits out of the mold and already cold, we are going to equalize their height and make them smooth, if necessary we cut their surface a little.

21.In the center area we bathe with the syrup and we put a little jam that I have mixed with a little water to be able to spread better, we cover it, we must leave it on a grid and with baking paper or a tray underneath to avoid staining when Let’s give it the white chocolate coating.

We prepare the chocolate coating:

22.We put a saucepan on the fire, add the cream and when it boils, turn off the heat, and add the already crushed chocolate so that it dissolves, stir well.

23.With the cake on a grid and I paint the edges first with a silicone brush.

24.Then I spread the chocolate coating in the center, smooth it if necessary with a spatula and let it dry on the rack.

25.On the sides I will put decorating chocolate noodles.

26.I have used a template to sprinkle cocoa and form the face of the pumpkin.
On the internet there are many different ones with Halloween motifs.

27.Now we just need to put the Halloween decoration that we like the most.
This time I have put a very simple.
I hope you like it, if so, leave me your comments and subscribe.
