I have used pure unsweetened cocoa and the couverture chocolate is dark chocolate with a minimum cocoa content of 70% and no added sugar, the walnuts are super healthy and have many antioxidant properties, if you prefer you can also replace the sugar with sweetener and the flour with wholemeal flour, all these changes are to your taste.
- 70 g wheat flour
- 150 g butter
- 120 g sugar
- 150 g couverture chocolate
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 1 pinch of salt
- 120 g peeled walnuts, chopped and 12 halves set aside for decoration
- 3 tablespoons of pure cocoa powder with no added sugar.
ELABORACIÓN PASO A PASO
Prepare a bowl, in which we are going to prepare the mixture, while we put the oven to preheat to 200 degrees up and down heat.
In the bowl add the eggs with the sugar and beat well with an electric or manual whisk, we will see that it integrates and changes colour, it becomes lighter. Add the teaspoon of vanilla.
Chop the butter and the chocolate, put a pan over low heat and add the chopped butter to dissolve it.
Once the butter has dissolved, add the chopped chocolate and stir so that it also melts and mixes well with the butter.
Once it has blended in, turn off the heat.
Prepare a greased baking tin with butter or baking paper to prevent sticking.
In the bowl with the eggs and sugar, add the chocolate mixture and mix well.
Set aside 12 whole walnut halves for later decoration, and chop the rest of the walnuts.
Add the chopped walnuts to the mixture in the bowl and mix.
In another bowl, mix the flour with the salt, which is only a small pinch, and the cocoa powder.
Add the previously sifted flour mixture and stir well, adding it several times to make it easier to integrate.
Put the mixture in a mould, decorate the surface with some whole walnuts and bake in the oven for about 30 minutes.
